Business strategy and project management

Strategy and execution to meet your objectives.

At a glance

A plan is only as good as its delivery

Good ideas rarely fail for lack of vision. They fade when momentum stalls and the work slips. Arore builds the plan with you, then stays to deliver it.

Who it's for

Owners and leadership teams in engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, retail, publishing and B2B, in Canada, Europe and Australia.

What Arore does

Takes an honest look at where your business stands, builds a plan with milestones you can measure, then manages the projects that deliver it.

Why it matters

Year after year, administrators name poor strategic management in around 4 in 10 Australian company failures.

Source: ASIC, Insolvency statistics: external administrators' reports, 2010–11 to 2018–19. Administrators can name more than one cause of failure.

Your objectives are true north

Arore checks every plan, project and decision against the objectives you set.

Where plans stall

The plan isn't usually the problem

The planning day goes well. Everyone leaves the room agreeing on the targets, the priorities and who owns what.

Then Monday arrives. A big order needs chasing, a key person is away and the quarterly figures are due. The plan is still in a folder somewhere, but nobody has opened it since the meeting.

By the end of the quarter, the targets are still on the whiteboard. Everyone was busy. That was the problem: the plan was nobody's job.

Arore takes on that job, so the plan you agreed on is the plan that gets delivered.

Same plan, same quarter

Two versions of the same quarter Thirteen weeks shown as squares, twice. In the top row, without an owner, the orange plan line fades out after the first few weeks and the targets are still open at the end. In the bottom row, with an owner, the plan line runs through all thirteen weeks and the targets are met. Without an owner Still open With an owner Targets met Planning day End of quarter — the plan ■ daily work only ■ the plan moved

Daily work fills every week either way. The difference is whether someone keeps the plan moving.

How it works

Three steps, one owner

Arore stays with the work from the first honest look to the last milestone.

  1. 1

    Before any planning

    Where you really stand

An honest look at the full picture: what your business does well, where it's exposed, which opportunities are going untapped and what could derail you.

  2. 2

    From that picture

    Build the plan

A plan built around your objectives, not a template, with a timeline and milestones you can measure progress against.

  3. 3

    Until it's delivered

    Deliver it

Arore runs the projects, keeps you updated as the work moves and reports against the milestones you agreed.
